AMERICA’S SEWERS: DETERIORATING AT AN ALARMING RATE
The US currently has 1.6 million miles of water and wastewater pipeline. Much of it is more than 100 years old. A water main breaks every 2 minutes in this country, resulting in the loss of 2 trillion gallons of treated water annually.
Additionally, almost every sewer system, regardless of its age, size, or location, contributes rainfall-induced infiltration and inflow (I&I) to the municipal wastewater collection facilities. The cause of excessive I&I is due to an aging infrastructure in serious need of rehabilitation and repair.
Alongside decaying infrastructure, extreme weather exacerbated by climate change is also contributing to major pipeline challenges.
Count on Mr. Rehab as your one-stop shop in sewer system rehabilitation.
